This week, we take a look at our first Steven Spielberg film, Saving Private Ryan. The film was widely lauded upon its release, but how did it work for us 15 years down the road? Tune in to find out. We also chat a bit about The Bling Ring, which is about as far away from Saving Private Ryan you can get. That's how we roll. 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

We are back in the shadowy world of film noir this week with a look at 1955's The Big Combo. We wanted to cover it as finally came to Blu last month thanks to Olive Films. This one has it all: a sadistic crime boss, hearing aid torture, oral sex and lots and lots of fog. How does it hold up nearly 60s years later? Tune in to find out. 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

Buried With Clickers is dead (long live Buried With Clickers!), and Chucky killed it. This is the last podcast of the month - hope you had fun with it. This may not be our finest episode, as we didn't think much of Child's Play and our ennui might be showing. With that in mind - Enjoy! 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

Buried With Clickers is coming to an end, but we get a good one this episode with 2009's Orphan. We had heard good things about it and it features a scene filmed at a local playground - so we were stoked to see it. Did it live up to our expectations? Tune in to find out. If you haven't joined out Facebook group, you should. 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

Buried With Clickers gets infected this time out with a review of 28 Weeks Later, the follow up to Danny Boyle's exhilirating look at life on the run in the UK. This sequel covers similar themes, but from a very different vantage point. How does it measure up? Tune in to find out. Join the discussion in the Married With Clickers Group on Facebook. We continue with a month of Buried With Clickers with a review of Dario Argento's Tenebre. Or it is Tenebrae? Does it really matter? This is a film loaded with black gloves, white blouses and straight razors, but was that enough to suck us in? Tune in to find out. We're on Facebook - so search for the Married With Clickers group and join. 206-350-9002 |

For this installment of Buried With Clickers, we review a fondly remembered Made for TV movie from 1981 - Dark Night of the Scarecrow. How does it hold up after all these years? Is it a good movie or just a good Made for TV movie? Tune in to find out. 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

This time around, Buried With Clickers venture to the British Isles to explore a potentially haunted boarding school with The Awakening starring Rebecca Hall and Dominic West. We like a good, atmospheric spookfest, but there are a million of them out there. How does this one rank? Tune in to find out. 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

Buried With Clickers goes deep underground with Chosen Survivors - one of the most 70s movies we've ever covered on the show. A group of people avoid a nuclear war, but have to contend with some nasty vampire bats. Will they all survive? No, but it is a pretty fun ride. marriedwithclickers@gmail.com 206-350-9002 |
Sun, 6 October 2013
Buried With Clickers continues with a review of Paperhouse, recommended by the fine host of the Hammicus podcast. It is a nearly forgotten British film from the late 80s. Should it stay in the shadows or is it worth tracking down? Tune in to find out. Join our Facebook group - we'd love to chat with you. 206-350-9002 marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

Buried With Clickers continues with a real beauty, eh? We take a look at 2000's Ginger Snaps, a well-loved Canadian production that neither of us had seen. Did the 'teen melodrama under a full moon' theme were out its welcome or did we find ourselves lycan it? Tune in to find out. Like most of the shows this month, this one is short but hopefully you folks are looking for quantity over quality. Join our Facebook group.

October has arrived, so we'll be trying to cram in as many horror movies as possible for Buried With Clickers (thanks Cody!). We kick off the month with Tony Scott's directorial debut The Hunger starring Catherine Deneuve, Susan Sarandon and David Bowie. This film is loaded with style, but was there enough substance to win us over? Tune in to find out. While you're at it, find our group on Facebook and get chatting. (New Number) 206-350-9002 |

It's back to the 1980s once again as we review 1984's Romancing the Stone directed by Robert Zemeckis. Scott had seen it way back when, but it was the first time for Kat. How did this one sit with us in 2013? Tune in to find out. We also chat briefly about Everything Must Go, Star Trek Into Darkness, The Great Gatsby, The Sapphires, The Invisible Man and The Sharkfighters. We were both feeling a bit under the weather so 'high energy' would not be an accurate term to describe the episode. You might want to listen on double speed! It is time for our annual TIFF report to give you a look at some of the films on the horizon. We discuss which ones to see and which ones to avoid. These are very short reviews and we avoid spoilers like crazy, so don't fret. This year's crop includes the long awaited documentary Jodorowsky's Dune, The Dinner (aka Het Diner) from the Netherlands, Kelly Reichhardt's latest Night Moves, the 'indie revenge flick with heart' Blue Ruin and A Promise; Patrice Leconte's first English language film. It was a busy week for us, but we still had energy for a lively chat. We hope that you enjoy. Find us on Facebook Emails to marriedwithclickers@gmail.com New Voicemail Line! 206-350-9002 |

It's a short show this week, as we recorded in advance knowing that we'd be knee deep in TIFF. We will be checking out Kelly Reichardt's new film, so thought this was the perfect time to discuss Meek's Cutoff starring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Bruce Greenwood. According to reviews on IMDB, people seem to either love or hate this film. Tune in to see where we stand. Join our Facebook Group Voicemails to 206-338-0793 emails to marriedwithclickers@gmail.com |

Cruel Summer gets super hot this week, with a review of Reign of Fire from 2002. Even with the mixture of pectoral muscles and dragons, we had somehow never seen this one before. Cruel Summer gets particularly cruel this week as we pay a visit to old friend Brian Austin Green in 2011's Cross. We don't want to spoil our review too much, but let's just say that any Oscar snubs were well deserved. We also chat about Man of Steel, Turbo, Django Unchained, Sharknado (more 90210 alum), The Phenix City Story and more. Look us up on Facebook and join the group! Cruel Summer continues this weak with a short and silly show. Scott found a DVD copy of 2001's The Enemy and could not pass up the chance to see Luke Perry and Roger Moore share the screen. That said, $3.99 seems like a steep price. One IMDB user states that it was "Not as bad a film as i thought it would be". Tune in to see if we agree. This is a very special episode for us. Cruel Summer 2013 gets off to a terrific start as we were honoured to do a team-up with Emily and Christine of the Feminine Critique Podcast. We are big fans of both ladies and their show, on which they discuss a wide variety of movies with the perfect mix of insight and humour. It is like hanging our with smart, funny friends. Kat and I can be found on their show this week discussing Bad Girls from 1994. On our show, we stayed in 1994 to chat about The Cowboy Way starring Woody Harrelson and Kiefer Sutherland. We try our best to make sense of this strange film that seems to convey the message that the best way to defeat human trafficking is through rope tricks and line dancing. The audio is a bit all over the place (let's all blame the gremlins at Skype, shall we?) but it's all audible and if you have a fraction of the fun listening to it as we did recording, you'll be in great shape. Oooops, we almost forgot to mention that we've included a half hour of Pretty Little Liars chat on here. We're all big fans, and hopefully our enthusiasm will convince you to give this guilty little pleasure a try. We watched nothing else this week, but are thrilled to announce a team-up with the Feminine Critique podcast next week. Seach for us on Facebook. It is time for our 2nd annual review of the top 10 older films we saw for the first time. We watched a wide array of films in 2012, and our lists prove it. Once again, we've stolen the idea from our good friend Rupert of the Rupert Pupkin Speaks blog. If you listen to our show regularly, there won't be too many surprises, but our picks do range from the sublime to the ridiculous. There are some weird audio glitches over the course of the first 20 minutes of the show (nothing major - just some small gaps) - apologies in advance.
