It's back to the 1980s once again as we review 1984's Romancing the Stone directed by Robert Zemeckis. Scott had seen it way back when, but it was the first time for Kat. How did this one sit with us in 2013? Tune in to find out. It is time for our annual TIFF report to give you a look at some of the films on the horizon. We discuss which ones to see and which ones to avoid. These are very short reviews and we avoid spoilers like crazy, so don't fret. This year's crop includes the long awaited documentary Jodorowsky's Dune, The Dinner (aka Het Diner) from the Netherlands, Kelly Reichhardt's latest Night Moves, the 'indie revenge flick with heart' Blue Ruin and A Promise; Patrice Leconte's first English language film. It's a short show this week, as we recorded in advance knowing that we'd be knee deep in TIFF. We will be checking out Kelly Reichardt's new film, so thought this was the perfect time to discuss Meek's Cutoff starring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Bruce Greenwood.
