We head back out west this week with Sam Fuller's Forty Guns, an unorthodox but very entertaining film. It's filled with action, romance and a good dose of sexual innuendo. We also chat briefly about Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping, Central Intelligence, Life of Crime, Modern Times and Northern Pursuit.

It is time for our 6th Annual TIFF Report. We had a great time at this year's festival and found time to see 5 films. This episode features short, spoiler free discussions of Christopher Guest's latest film Mascots, Oz Perkins' creepy I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In the House, the super buzzy Jackie directed by Pablo Larrain, Wakefield starring Bryan Cranston and an interesting Nollywood entry entitled Oko Ashewo (aka Taxi Driver). |

Cruel Summer threatens to become Endless Summer as we present this much delayed episode. A million things interfered with our recording schedule but we'll point the finger mainly at illness, back to school and Rodan (not necessarily in that order). We planned this as two separate episodes but figured it was time to move on to new things so it is a 2 for 1 deal. First, we discuss Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead followed by a chat about Taylor Lautner's parkour movie Tracers. Yup, more variety from Married With Clickers. |
